What This Trip is Like
Accommodations
We stay sixteen nights in deluxe or luxury hotels, carefully chosen for comfortable amenities and personal service. On the enitre trip , our hotels are in great locations . All hotels offer private bath and hot shower.
We strive at providing lodgings that give you a sense of the local culture, good service, and a good location. We're confident that, with a sense of adventure and flexibility, you'll enjoy your trip to its fullest.
Pacing and Transportation
The pace of the itinerary is brisk, but not overly strenuous. We stay two nights in Delhi at the beginning of the trip, then two nights in Jaipur. We have two-night stays at the Agra,Ranthambore,Varanasi, one night stay in the cities of Bharatpur and Khajuraho and three night stay at Bhandhavgarh. We are often on the move, but this lets us see and do a lot with our limited time. In order to get the best views of wildlife awakening , sunrise at the Taj Mahal , and purification rites in the Ganges , we rise very early on these days. There are long drives , and most of the roads are bumpy and dusty. We break up the longer drives with frequent stops at interesting sites along the way.
Physical Activities
We've designed all the activities to be fun and enjoyable. Our signature activity is walking, for which we recommend comfortable shoes that are well broken-in, but the minimum physical demands of the trip are not highly rigorous. On several days you can choose to participate in group driving and walking tours, or to rest. You may choose to forego a walk if you prefer, but to get the most out of your trip, you should be ready to do at least some ot them. At times, your agility may be tested, but your Trip Leader is always standing by, happy to offer assistance Just let your Trip Leader know when you need a helping hand and he or she will be there'
